Who We Are

ZA Technologies Inc. (doing business as Mithaq Ventures) is a Canadian company headquartered in Ontario. This privacy policy governs personal information collected through mithaqventures.com and any direct communications with our team. Individual ventures (HalalVPN, Wasiyyah, Barakah Pantry, MirajSIM, and others) operate under their own product-specific privacy policies, which apply in addition to this one for their respective users.

What We Collect

Aggregated, privacy-respecting website analytics (page views, referrers, country-level visits) collected without personal identifiers.

Information you submit via our contact form (name, email, message).

Information you submit when joining a venture beta or waitlist (name, email, optional details you choose to share).

Investor inquiries submitted through our /invest channel (name, organization, email, and any context you choose to provide).

What We Do Not Collect

No tracking cookies. No advertising or analytics IDs.

No IP address logging beyond ephemeral request handling.

No behavioral profiles, fingerprints, or pixel trackers.

No third-party advertising technology.

No biometric, financial, or sensitive personal data through this website.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function (session integrity, CSRF protection, language preference). We do not set advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Because we use no non-essential cookies, no consent banner is shown. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time without affecting your ability to read the site.

How We Use Your Data

Aggregate analytics help us understand which pages are useful and improve the site.

Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Beta and waitlist signups are used solely to notify you when the relevant venture is ready.

Investor inquiries are used solely to evaluate fit and respond to the inquiry.

Legal Basis for Processing

Under Canadian law (PIPEDA and, where applicable, Quebec's Law 25), we rely on your express or implied consent for the limited processing described above.

For visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal bases under GDPR / UK GDPR are: your consent (for beta and waitlist signups), the necessity to respond to your request (for contact and investor inquiries), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving a secure website (for aggregate analytics).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties.

Limited exceptions: trusted service providers under data processing agreements (e.g., transactional email delivery, hosting infrastructure), and where required by Canadian law or valid legal process.

Some service providers may store data outside Canada (typically the United States or European Union). Where this occurs, we use providers that offer contractual safeguards comparable to those required under PIPEDA.

Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Submissions are stored on encrypted infrastructure. Access is restricted to ZA Technologies personnel who require it to perform their role.

Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, then deleted.

Beta and waitlist data is retained until you unsubscribe or until the relevant venture has launched and onboarded you (whichever comes first), and is then removed from the waitlist registry.

Investor inquiries are retained for the duration of the active fundraise plus 24 months for compliance and record-keeping.

AI and Model Training

We do not train AI or machine learning models on your personal data. We do not sell or license your data to any third party for AI training. Where we use AI tools internally (for example, to draft a response or summarize an inquiry), the underlying providers are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit using your data to train their models.

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, GDPR, and UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; withdraw consent at any time; receive a portable copy of your information; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

In Canada, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@mithaqventures.com. We respond within 30 days.

Quebec — Law 25

If you are a Quebec resident, ZA Technologies' Privacy Officer is reachable at privacy@mithaqventures.com. You have the right to be informed of any automated decision-making that significantly affects you (we do not currently use any), to receive your personal information in a structured digital format, and to be notified of any confidentiality incident likely to cause you serious harm.

Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies separately.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact privacy@mithaqventures.com and we will delete it.
